Are you a calm, compassionate individual who thrives in a supportive overnight care environment?
Westminster House is looking for a dedicated Night Support Worker who can provide a safe, emotionally responsive and welcoming short stay service for adults with learning disabilities, Autism, and ‘behaviours that challenge’. As a Night Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the people we support feel secure, cared for, and respected throughout the night.
We have waking staff throughout the night to provide care and support for people with a wide range of complex care needs and diverse interests. As part of our team, you’ll be expected to provide overnight care and emotional support tailored to each individual’s needs.
We are looking for a positive, committed, and proactive night support worker who is empathetic and can connect well with diverse personalities, because, as a short stay service, the people we support are ever-changing, all with different emotional and physical wellbeing needs. We also specialise in emergency short term care, supporting people during challenging emotional times in their lives.
As a night support worker, you will need to remain alert and responsive throughout the night and adapt quickly to changing needs, communicating with clarity and warmth. As part of your role, you will assist with personal care routines including toileting, dressing, and medication administration where required, monitor wellbeing and responding to any needs or incidents during the night. Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and preparing breakfast will also be expected of you as well as completing accurate and thoughtful reports to ensure continuity of care.
At Westminster House, every night brings new opportunities to make a meaningful impact. You’ll be part of a team that helps people leave feeling more confident and capable than when they arrived. It’s a deeply rewarding role where your presence truly matters.
