This flexible role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, professional, and passionate about supporting governance in education.
As a Casual Clerk, you’ll play an important role in helping meetings run smoothly, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting council members in fulfilling their responsibilities. You’ll work closely with Principals, Chairs of Academy Councils, and the wider governance team to uphold high standards and contribute to the effective running of our academies.
About you:
You will have:
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience in preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital tools to produce accurate and professional documents.
Discretion and reliability, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and in line with data protection legislation.
A flexible and proactive approach, able to manage deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
Experience working with stakeholders at all levels, including parents, council members, and academy staff.
A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and equity in education.
Knowledge of governance procedures and legislation (desirable), or a willingness to learn through training and support.
Applicants are advised to refer to the full requirements of the role in the attached job description and person specification, prior to submitting an application.
Why work as a Casual Clerk to our CLF Academy Councils?
In this role, you’ll be a key part of our governance support network, helping ensure our Academy Councils run smoothly and effectively. You’ll work flexibly across our trust, supporting meetings, maintaining accurate records, and enabling council members to focus on their strategic responsibilities.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to the wider educational mission of the Cabot Learning Federation, while developing your skills in governance, administration, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll be supported by a collaborative governance team and have access to training and development to grow your knowledge of governance legislation and procedures.
