Summary

Deputy Nursery Manager | £35,000 | Level 3+ Early Years

This exciting opportunity is ideal for a strong Room Leader or experienced Deputy Nursery Manager looking to take on a blended role of leadership and hands-on childcare. Working full-time, the successful candidate will split their time between supporting room-based activities and office-based management tasks, helping to maintain smooth nursery operations and delivering high-quality early years education.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
  • Proven experience as a Room Leader or Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early years best practices.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor, inspire, and manage a team.
  • Hands-on childcare experience with children aged 0–5.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will:

  • Support the Nursery Manager in day-to-day operations and strategic planning.
  • Lead and inspire a team of practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Act as a senior room leader, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to staff.
  • Deliver safe, stimulating, and inclusive activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Assist with staffing, rotas, and administrative tasks to support efficient nursery operations.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are consistently met.
  • Support inspections, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
