Summary
We are looking for confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support a variety of secondary schools. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people who is seeking flexible, classroom-based work. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as Cover Supervisor:
Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay focused on pre-set work.
Maintain a calm, positive learning environment and manage behaviour in line with school policies.
Provide brief feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and pupil engagement.
Assist with registration, break duties, and other tasks as required.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
Experience working with young people (school, tutoring, youth work or similar) is desirable.
Strong communication and classroom management skills as a Cover Supervisor.
Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups.
A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
