Summary
Laura Kyrke-Smith MP is looking for a motivated and organised individual to join her constituency team in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career who wants to gain experience in a busy constituency office and make a real difference to the community. The successful candidate will:
Support the smooth running of the MP’s inbox, ensuring correspondence is tagged and allocated correctly.
Help constituents with enquiries and log, track and follow up casework, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and sensitively.
Provide general administrative support and assist at surgeries, meetings, and community events.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, a clear communicator, and a team player with a keen eye for detail. You’ll need to be confident using IT systems, discreet when handling sensitive information, and flexible enough to occasionally work outside standard office hours. The role offers an excellent introduction to parliamentary work, with opportunities to develop skills in casework, administration, and constituency engagement.
It is offered on a permanent basis following a six-month probation and is part-time (0.8 FTE), with some flexibility in how hours are worked.
