We’re supporting a growing logistics business in their search for a Transport & Logistics Planner to join their dynamic team. This is a critical role focused on developing and maintaining subcontractor relationships, managing imports/exports, and ensuring efficient load planning across Europe.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in European subcontracting and a solid understanding of the customs processes required for importing and exporting goods.
Key Responsibilities:-
Manage and grow subcontractor and customer relationships

Ensure all exports/imports are compliant with relevant codes and paperwork

Allocate and schedule loads daily to achieve best possible margins

Maintain accurate records within the Transport Management System (TMS)

Monitor and report on delivery performance, flagging any delays

Identify and onboard new subcontractors and customers

Analyse and negotiate market rates with hauliers

Work to operational KPIs and contribute to business growth
What We're Looking For:✅ Proven background in Transport & Logistics Planning
✅ Knowledge of European subcontracting, customs documentation, and import/export processes
✅ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✅ Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS)
✅ Strong organisational and multitasking ability
✅ Customer-focused and commercially aware
