Falkirk Council is looking to recruit a Support for Learning Assistant for Sacred Heart Primary School. You will provide support for teachers, early years professionals and children to enhance experiences and achievement for children. You will undertake a range of support activities with regard to general supervision, safety, care and well-being of the children.

The post will be based within the Additional Support Centre (ASC) at Sacred Heart Primary School. Sacred Heart ASC is a stage 4 provision supporting 19 children across three classes. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team. In this role, you will provide tailored support for pupils whose needs arise from significant social and communication difficulties, including those with a diagnosis of Autism. Working closely with colleagues, you will help children who experience a wide range of social, emotional and behavioural needs, supporting them to thrive in school.

You will bring excellent communication skills, patience and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.

Successful applicants will also provide personal care for pupils with additional support needs - including changing, dressing and toileting - while promoting independence, dignity, safety and comfort at all times.

You will work 30 Hours per week on a term time basis. Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
