We are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to work for our prestigious client who are leading manufacturers within the food production industry, based in Wolverhampton (WV5).

Ideal candidate:
• Will be mechanically minded
• Previous experience within a food manufacturing plant
• Experience of working with machinery
• Good computer skills
• Good both written and verbal: English and maths
• Able to work independently
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Job Role:
• Ensuring the machine is set up correctly, ready for production.
• Ensure the machine runs continuously throughout shift.
• Operating production machinery to delivery production targets.
• Compliance with all company policies & systems of work.
• Communicate with shift engineers to facilitate a prompt reaction to malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to keep it in optimal condition.
• Maintain accurate records of machine operation, maintenance, and product quality.
• Work closely with team members to achieve production targets and resolve issues as they arise.
• Ensuring that hygiene is at the front of all operations.
Hours of work:
12-hour shifts between Monday – Sunday
• Shift pattern: 2 days working – 1 day off – 2 nights working – 3 days off
• 6am – 6pm (Day shift)
• 6pm – 6am (Night shift)
Rate of pay:
• Starting pay rate of £15.97 per hour (increasing to £16.97 per hour once training has been complete)
