Acorn by Synergie is searching for a proactive and motivated Storeman / Goods In & Despatch Operative on behalf of a reputable and rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in North Devon.

Key Duties:
  • Pack goods accurately from picking lists, following strict despatch procedures.
  • Generate despatch notes and all associated shipping documentation.
  • Raise goods received notes and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor supplier delivery dates to ensure on-time performance.
  • Liaise internally with Department Heads, Commercial, and P&L teams.
  • Use carrier systems including UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Palletforce.
  • Ensure correct carrier selection based on client and destination.
  • Support warehouse operations, ensuring stock movement is recorded correctly.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a goods in / goods out / shipping & receiving role.
  • Familiarity with carrier platforms and logistics documentation.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience working with or understanding of LEAN materials management principles is desirable.
What We Offer:
  • Permanent, full-time position in a stable and growing organisation.
  • Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per annum (depending on experience).
  • Annual bonus scheme (discretionary).
  • Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4:45pm; Friday 8am - 12pm (4.5-day working week).
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (with the option to buy or sell up to one week).
