Summary
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN 1:1 Support Assistant to join a dedicated Primary SEN school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in education or special needs support, as no previous experience is required – just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as SEN 121 Support Assistant:
Provide 1:1 support to a child with additional needs, helping them to access learning and daily activities.
Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to adapt resources and approaches.
Encourage the child’s independence, social interaction and confidence.
Support with personal care and emotional regulation when required.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Ideal SEN 121 Support Assistant:
No prior school experience is needed – full training will be given.
A patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN 121 Support Assistant.
A genuine interest in working with children with Special Educational Needs.
Commitment to learning new skills and taking guidance from experienced staff.
