Summary
We are looking for a Multi-skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias to work on a fixed site where Mitie provides a multi-skilled maintenance service team, which covers electrical, mechanical and basic plumbing disciplines to provide PPM and reactive works.
You will provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors and external suppliers where required. You will also need to complete any required paperwork, producing reports accurately and on a timely basis.
You should carry out works to a high standard and in line with current legislation, company policies and procedures and report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment. You will be responsible for ensuring your own work and work of those under supervision is completed in a safe and diligent manner.
The ideal candidate must have appropriate NVQ Level qualifications in Electrical with a good knowledge of building compliance being a bonus.
They will need to be responsible for themselves and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
Good problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills both verbally and written are a must.
Suitable training will be given when needed to ensure that the candidate is competent to achieve the skills required.
