We are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving Independent Specialist College in Sheffield (S21). The college empowers young adults aged 16-25 with learning difficulties and disabilities, providing education across five sites in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners gain independence, skills, and confidence for their future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to young adults with diverse needs.
- Assist in developing life skills, communication, and independence.
- Adapt activities and resources to suit individual learning styles.
- Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and wellbeing across all settings.
- Work closely with tutors, therapists, and support staff to deliver a holistic approach.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience supporting young people with learning difficulties or disabilities.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to motivate and inspire.
- Strong communication skills to support both academic and life skills learning.
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites when required.
