Early Years BSL Teaching Assistant - Camden
Start: ASAP start | Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
We are working with a specialist primary school for deaf pupils in Camden, and they are looking for a dedicated Early Years BSL Teaching Assistant to join them from September.
This school has an excellent reputation for its nurturing approach and commitment to helping every child feel heard, valued, and supported. Pupils in the Early Years communicate primarily through British Sign Language, and this role is key in helping them build both their communication and early learning skills.
The Role
As an Early Years BSL TA, you'll:

Support children aged 4-5 with their first steps into education.

Assist with early literacy, numeracy, and creative play, making learning engaging and accessible.

Work closely with teachers, speech/hearing specialists, and families to ensure children make progress.

The Right Candidate

BSL Level 2 or higher qualification.

Experience supporting young children, ideally in an Early Years or SEN setting.

A warm, patient, and engaging approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with young learners.
