Job Description
Carry out a range of Green space and road maintenance duties and related activities that support the wider work of our Greener Communities and Roads services in accordance with Spring/Summer and Winter Service/Flood response programmes working flexibly across these services, in order to achieve key objectives of the Councils Community Plan and Single Outcome Agreements and Best Value.Responsibilities

The Individual
This post is based within Greener Communities, Western Road, Kilmarnock between the months of April - September and Ayrshire Roads Alliance, Gauchalland Depot, Galston between the months of October - March.Please see attached additional Information document for more information on the shared post working between the 2 services.
The hours of work are 37 per week and working pattern will be discuss at the interview.
The salary for the post is £28,533 - £29,880 per annum.
Please note - Applicants must have a Category C driving licence together with Driver CPC or be willing to undertake the relevant training through East Ayrshire Council to obtain this.
Successful employees will be issued with a permanent contract of employment where they hold a Category C driving licence together with Driver CPC. Successful candidates who do not hold a Category C driving licence together with Driver CPC and are required to undertake the training will be issued with a temporary contract of employment for a period of 12 months to allow them to obtain this. A permanent contract will be issued upon successful completion of the Category C licence.
