Summary
As our Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines for our patients. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting patients directly through consultations, medicines use reviews, and health advice. Conducting medicines optimisation tasks, including reconciliation, audits, and monitoring of high-risk medicines. Working with care homes, community pharmacies, and secondary care teams to ensure safe and seamless medicines transfers. Contributing to safe prescribing initiatives, including antimicrobial stewardship and national prescribing policies. Providing technical support and specialist advice to clinicians and patients to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities. Assisting with public health campaigns (e.g., flu and COVID-19 clinics). Actively engaging in quality improvement measures, incentive schemes, and the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF). Maintaining accurate records, a safe working environment, and contributing to audits and patient safety initiatives. Taking part in annual appraisals and professional development to support your ongoing growth.
