Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (Category C) HGV Driver to join a well-respected local removals and relocation company. Known for its professional approach and supportive working culture, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that values its staff and takes pride in what it does.
This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, meeting new people, and working as part of a reliable, hard-working team.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving a Class 2 vehicle in and around Edinburgh, with occasional UK-wide trips
Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of furniture/household goods
Supporting customers during their move – often a major life event
Working alongside a professional removals team to ensure a smooth process
Taking care to handle all goods with attention and respect
✅ What You’ll Need:
A valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence
CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
Good level of physical fitness – regular lifting and manual handling involved
A team-focused approach and willingness to get stuck in
Previous removals experience is welcome, but not essential – training provided
