Summary
Role Purpose
To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to service users in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being in line with the values of Vybrant Care Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care & Support
- Assist with personal care needs including washing, dressing, grooming, and continence support.
- Support with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment.
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with policies and procedures.
Daily Living Support
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, hydration, and maintaining a balanced diet.
- Support with household tasks including light cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Assist with appointments, community access, and maintaining social engagement.
Health & Safety
- Follow infection control and safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Report concerns, risks, or changes in service users’ conditions promptly.
- Maintain accurate care records and communication logs.
Emotional & Social Support
- Provide companionship and reassurance to reduce isolation and promote well-being.
- Encourage independence and choice in daily activities.
- Respect confidentiality, diversity, and cultural needs of service users.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or a strong passion for supporting people.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
- Ability to follow care plans and policies.
Desirable
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
- Experience with medication administration and specialised care (e.g., dementia, end-of-life).
