Description: Are you a caring person who wants to make a difference in a young person life? We are currently seeking to recruit a Support Worker to join our amazing team. We are looking for a warm and supportive female who can deliver person-centred care & support to Annie a bubbly, intelligent, sociable 20-year-old young lady who has physical disabilities. Annie has a full and varied life and is looking for someone with a great sense of fun.
Bank position approx. 10 hours per week on a zero-hour contract.
Wage: £12.21 per hour
£14.50 per hour weekend rate
Duties will include Night shifts: You will be required to carry out Personal care/ showering, hoisting, dressing & staying overnight (bed available) to assist turning and making comfortable throughout the night as & when needed.
Day shifts will be supporting Annie to live her independent life, socialising, swimming, going to cinema, eating out, shopping, walking her dog. some light housework will be done throughout the week.
Applicants must be: We are looking for someone who is committed and reliable and happy to work on a one-to-one basis with Annie, you must be female and a non-smoker, training in manual handling will be desirable but full training can be provided.
All successful applicants will undergo references and an enhanced DBS check. Female applicants only ‘Permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010
