If so, we’d love for you to join our friendly and dynamic team as a Playworker!
About Us:
At Sugarplumz Ltd we believe that every child deserves a joyful, supportive, and stimulating environment where they can learn, grow, and simply be kids!
At Sugarplumz we don’t just try, we succeed!
We ensure that we provide all children in attendance with a safe and caring space before and after school, where they can explore, play, and unwind in a fun, structured setting.
Your Role:
As a Wraparound Play-worker, you’ll be an essential part of the team, helping to create an atmosphere where children feel excited to explore and express themselves. You will work closely with children aged 4-13 during their early morning and after-school hours, delivering imaginative and engaging activities that inspire their creativity and boost their confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with children through exciting play and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Create a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring the well-being of every child in your care.
Collaborate with the team to plan and implement fun, educational activities (arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, etc.) tailored to children’s interests and needs.
Support the children’s social skills by encouraging positive relationships and helping resolve conflicts when needed.
Ensure clear communication with parents and carers about any progress and important developments.
Be a positive role model, demonstrating empathy, patience, and inclusivity at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine passion for working with children and a warm, friendly approach.
Experience in childcare, education, or a similar field is helpful, but not essential! We’re happy to provide training.
A creative and resourceful mindset – we love new ideas and activities that will bring joy to the children!
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A DBS check and relevant safeguarding and first aid training (we’ll support you through the process if needed).
What’s In It for You:
A fun, dynamic work environment with a supportive team that truly cares about making a difference.
Opportunities to grow and develop your skills through ongoing training and development.
Job satisfaction from making an impact on children’s lives in a meaningful and positive way.
A sense of community with fellow passionate playworkers, parents, and carers.
