Summary
We are a company based in Dartford. Looking for an experienced Buyer in a very senior role within our organisation. The duties will be as follows:-
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Liaison & Negotiation:
The Buyer/Purchase Manager will be expected to regularly communicate and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices, terms, and delivery schedules for the company's products.
Market Research & Analysis:
The role involves monitoring market trends, researching consumer demands, and analysing product pricing and availability to inform profitable purchasing decisions.
Stock Management:
Responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels by forecasting inventory needs and placing orders to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Reporting & Teamwork:
The successful candidate must be fluent in English, confident using Microsoft Office and able to participate in daily Teams meetings or video conferences with Company Directors, sharing updates on pricing, stock status, and supplier performance.
Direct Reporting:
Reports directly to the CEO, providing timely updates and strategic insights on procurement, prices, and product availability.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Strong negotiation and communication skills for building relationships and securing favourable terms with suppliers is of paramount importance.
Fluency in English is essential for clear communication within the team and with suppliers.
Ability to use online meeting platforms like Teams for daily briefings and collaborative discussions, including presentations to company directors.
Analytical thinking to assess product trends, prices, availability, and supplier reliability.
Organisational skills for managing multiple suppliers, stock levels, and reporting requirements efficiently.
