Summary


We are pleased to offer ward activity support volunteer opportunities at Great Oaks Inpatient Mental Health Unit in Scunthorpe.

Great Oaks is a specialist unit for people with mental health conditions or dementia. We also care for people whose rights are restricted under the Mental Health Act.


We are looking for empathic and motivated volunteers to support the ward activity functions of the teams. If you have an interest or skill which will bring enjoyment to patients we care for, then please apply.

Volunteer duties will include:

· Engaging with activities with a range of people currently in hospital for either acute mental health difficulties or Dementia.

· Be able to tailor their approach to work with the patients at their level of functioning.

· To be flexible in their delivery and adapt if patient preference changes.
