Pay Details: Grade 6 SCP 14 – 19 £29,540 - £32,061

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 Hours

Main Place of Work: Civic Offices/Home Working

Description:


This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer service focussed individual to provide front line support services for School Admissions and School Organisation, ensuring the accurate and timely allocation of school places and presentation at statutory admission appeals hearings in line with School Admissions and Appeal Codes. They will also ensure that the data systems in place are effective, accurate and efficiently managed.

About you
You will need:

Experience of working in an administrative and customer focussed environment
Use and development of IT systems and processes
Experience of maintaining databases
Experience of dealing with external customers and handling difficult situations
Experience of analysing data to establish trends and predictions
Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus including the ability to handle potentially difficult situations in a sensitive manner and to communicate effectively with members of the public
Evidence of an understanding of administrative law and procedural fairness in appeals.
