We are seeking experienced RICS-qualified Disrepair Surveyors to join a forward-thinking housing team in North London on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior-level surveying role, focusing on disrepair and damp & mould cases across social housing stock, with the chance to make a genuine impact on residents' homes and lives.
The successful candidates will have a strong background in social housing disrepair, with the ability to produce Scott Schedules, provide expert witness reports, and present cases in court. This role offers long-term stability, progression opportunities, and the opportunity to work on high-profile cases in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out detailed inspections and surveys on social housing properties, focusing on disrepair and damp & mould cases

Prepare Scott Schedules and technical reports for legal disrepair cases

Act as an expert witness and present cases in court where required

Work closely with legal teams, housing officers, and contractors to resolve disrepair claims

Provide expert advice on remedial works, ensuring compliance with housing standards and regulations

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation, building pathology, and disrepair case law

Deliver excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communication
Requirements

Full RICS qualification - essential

Proven background in social housing disrepair and damp & mould surveying

Experience preparing Scott Schedules and acting as an expert witness in legal proceedings

Strong knowledge of housing standards, landlord and tenant law, and building regulations

Excellent technical knowledge of building pathology and diagnostics

Confident communicator with strong written and verbal reporting skills

Full UK driving licence
