This role is with a well-established, community-focused firm with a strong presence across West and South Yorkshire. My client is looking to hire into their busy and growing Family/Matrimonial team across their offices in Leeds, Huddersfield and Barnsley. Qualified solicitors or legal executives with experience in Family/Matrimonial law will of course be of particular interest. However, my client will also welcome applications from experienced lawyers who may be looking for a change in direction and the chance to retrain into a practice area more focused on people rather than profit.
The firm has a mixture of private-paying and Legal Aid work, and it is important that applicants across all levels of experience have the ability to empathise and build relationships with a wide client base.
My client can offer an attractive benefits package for successful candidates (details can be discussed on receipt of an application). Salary can be negotiable for candidates with previous experience of Family/Matrimonial work. Applying candidates looking for a retraining opportunity will need to be comfortable with a lower salary. However, my client is prepared to look at putting a fast-track development plan in place to ensure a salary commensurate with the market once the relevant period of retraining has taken place.
