Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food preparation, kitchen management, and menu planning. This role requires strong leadership skills to supervise kitchen staff and ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. The Chef will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences while managing all aspects of the kitchen operations.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Plan and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs.
Lead catering events and banquets, ensuring exceptional service and presentation.
Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as necessary.
Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
Implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within fine dining or high-volume environments.
Strong background in food service management, including restaurant management or catering experience.
Demonstrated ability in menu planning, food production, and kitchen management.
Experience with inventory management and control processes.
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred, showcasing team management skills.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the food industry is highly desirable.
