About the Role:We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative with a strong electrical bias to join a reputable Midlands-based contractor. This is a 12-week fixed-term contract covering sick leave, working within a warehouse-type building environment.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensuring the facility remains compliant and operationally safe.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform multi-skilled and electrically-biased maintenance tasks across the site.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Carry out health and safety checks, including fire door inspections/ sprinkler system checks
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems and general building fabric.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role, ideally within a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of building services and compliance checks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and able to work via an umbrella company (CIS not accepted).
