Hi,

I am looking for two pas to provide 2:1 support for my 10-year-old child and help him access activities. He loves to swim and would enjoy trips to a pool. He has attachments to his teddies, which go everywhere with him!

He has ASD and is non-verbal, so Pas who have experience in this is preferable. The PAs must be confident with keeping him safe when out (he can be a flight risk!) and about and dealing with challenging behaviours as he has tendencies to self-harm if told no, which can not be tolerated.

The PA must also be flexible as he can be difficult if he does not want to go out that day.

Duties include:
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Keeping him clean/ toileting
- Keeping him safe indoors/ outdoors

Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful

- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
