Summary
Are you a skilled Project Manager with experience in highways or minor civils? A leading SME contractor in the southeast of England is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Basingstoke. The role is based out of the Basingstoke office and covers sites throughout Hampshire and the south of England.
The company is experiencing exceptional growth and is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Project Manager to lead the development of their highways and minor civils capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career and play a vital role in winning and delivering projects from start to finish. You'll report to the Business Manager and be responsible for the entire project, ensuring it's delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This position is ideal for an established Project Manager or a Site Agent looking to advance their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage highway projects from award to completion and financial settlement.
- Support the bidding and securing of new projects and frameworks.
- Lead the development of productivity norms to help win and deliver new projects.
- Manage the preparation of Health and Safety Plans, Quality Plans, and Method Statements.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and legislation.
- Control weekly progress and budgets.
Candidate Profile:
- You should have at least 5+ years of experience in the highway or civils sector and 2+ years of experience as a Project Lead.
- A proven track record of successfully winning and delivering profitable projects is essential.
- You should hold a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or an equivalent qualification.
- Relevant certifications such as CSCS, SMSTS, and NRSWA Supervisor are required.
- You must also have a full driving license.
