Summary
Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated DT/Art Technician to join our experienced DT Department. The primary responsibility is to facilitate the effective teaching and learning of DT and Art by preparing materials, resources and equipment, and assisting the teaching staff as directed. This is a busy role, and in order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, the successful candidate will need to be very well organised, to use initiative whilst working closely with the Head of Department and other DT teaching staff. The successful candidate will be offered the full support and resources of the school to develop professionally in a highly supportive environment with inspirational colleagues. Applicants will need to enjoy building positive relationships with young people and experience of working in a school setting would be an advantage, but is not essential. The position is temporary for 1 year in the first instance and will commence as soon as possible. The salary stated will be subject to a term time adjustment if the commencement of employment is after the start of the academic year.
