Swansea | 4 on, 6 off shifts | £32,304 rising to £34,994 plus £5,259 shift allowance & bonus | Permanent / OngoingAcorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Process Technician to join the team at The Mond Nickel Refinery in Swansea - one of the world's leading nickel refineries, owned and operated by Vale Europe.
About the Role:The Mond Nickel Refinery, owned & operated by Vale Europe is one of the world's leading Nickel refineries. Vale are globally one of the world's largest mining companies, with with operations in the UK, Asia, the USA and across Europe.
This is a hands-on role in a heavy industrial environment, with full training provided and long-term career opportunities available. The successful candidate will have worked in a manufacturing or industrial environment; ideally with powdered metals, and full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:- Operating and monitoring process equipment.
- Maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Carrying out basic maintenance tasks.
- Supporting continuous improvement and 5S practices.
- Operating FLT and other machinery as required.
- Responding to operational problems using own initiative.
- Flexibility to cover overtime and call-ins when needed.
- Previous experience in a process, production, or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of Safe Systems of Work.
- Mechanically minded with good problem-solving skills.
- Committed to health and safety best practices.
- Organised, reliable, and detail-focused.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
- Experience with 5S or continuous improvement (desirable).
- FLT licence or experience (advantageous).
- £32,304 basic salary, rising to £34,994 upon competency sign-off.
- £5,259 annual shift allowance.
