Summary

We are looking for a Senior Carer to join the Additional Learning Support team, providing a wide range of programmes for students with learning difficulties and or disabilities. The role is based at our Watford campus.
As a key part of this specialist team, the successful candidate will be helping to support the delivery of outstanding personalised learning opportunities. We want people who can assist learners to experience all aspects of college life.
The successful candidate will have an understanding and experience of working with students who have diverse special learning needs. You will be a qualified and experienced First Aider with substantial care training including hoisting to complete personal care support, provide feeding support for those that require this including those that have a feeding tube. You will also be qualified and have experience of administering medications where required (including Buccal Midazolam & Epilepsy Medicines).
Working with a range of students, a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills is essential. These roles require proactive professionals who can work with the teaching team to remove potential barriers and support the learner assessment process. You will need to be flexible, working well as part of a team to support the provision for learners.
