MIMA Frieze x Deutsche Bank Curatorial Fellow
Contract: Fixed Term (12 months)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: MIMA & Teesside University, Middlesbrough (hybrid working: 60% on-site, up to 40% remote)
Salary: £26,707 - £30,378

MIMA is seeking a Curatorial Fellow for a year-long, full-time paid placement for a curator of Black and/or global majority heritage. Funded by the Frieze x Deutsche Bank Emerging Curators Fellowship, the role supports UK-based emerging curators to gain professional experience and address racial inequalities in the arts.

Working within MIMA’s Programme Team, you’ll contribute to exhibitions, collection displays, events, and community programmes, supporting research, concept development, artist liaison, logistics, marketing, and interpretation. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your own research interests within MIMA’s programme.

We’re looking for someone with some experience in museums, galleries, or cultural organisations, strong organisational skills, and enthusiasm to develop their curatorial practice.

Evening and weekend work will be required on occasion. Flexible working arrangements are available.
