Summary

Machine Operative - CNC

Ilminster | £15 - £18 per hour DOE plus Shift Allowance | Full-time | Temporary to Permanent

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Machine Operative (CNC) to join a well-established and growing manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to work in a supportive environment, with ongoing training and potential for long-term progression.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision parts.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings to programme machines accurately.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machines and existing programmes to meet specifications.
  • Maintain and clean equipment as required.
  • Carry out tests on finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Accurately complete and update production records.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot and correct defects.
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
