Summary

Job Title: Executive Assistant
Salary: £34,525 per annum

Hours: Full-Time/Part-Time/Flexible

Make a Difference as an Executive Assistant by joining our team based at our Plymouth Head Office

Do you get genuine satisfaction from making order out of chaos, spotting the detail others miss, and quietly making things run smoothly behind the scenes? If so, we think you might be exactly who we need.

At Havencare, our Executive Team is passionate, ambitious, and laser-focused on our “north star” – delivering excellent housing and support. What we’re not always great at? Remembering where we put the meeting notes, keeping ourselves to time, and staying calm when there are 17 things happening at once. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an Executive Assistant who can:

Keep us organised, on track, and (mostly) on time.
Handle the details so the big picture doesn’t get lost.
Work at pace without losing your cool.
Bring calm, clarity, and maybe even the occasional gentle reminder when things start to spiral.
Spot what needs doing before we’ve even realised it ourselves.

In return, we’ll offer you:

The flexibility to balance life and work (because we know both matter).
The chance to work closely with a small but mighty Executive Team.
A role where no two days are the same – but where your impact is always felt.
A supportive organisation that values transparency, quality, and engagement.

This isn’t just a diary-management role (though you’ll be brilliant at that too). It’s about being at the heart of a team that is shaping change, building opportunities, and sometimes… losing our meeting notes. If you’re organised, proactive, unflappable, and have a good sense of humour, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:
The Executive Assistant (EA) plays a pivotal role in enabling the efficient and effective functioning of the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This includes high-level executive support, coordination of organisational governance, and oversight of key administrative processes. The EA ensures that the CEO and ELT are well supported, executive functions run smoothly, and communication between departments and leadership is timely, professional, and well-structured.

About the usual working pattern:

The role is agile, with some time spent in our Plymouth office. We care more about what you do rather than where you do it (in person attendance for key meetings is vital)
We’re open to a range of working patterns so feel free to discuss this either at application stage or interview.

We will provide you with:

Quality training and development opportunities to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge
Free 24/7 confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support your health and wellbeing
Big financial rewards through our Refer a Friend Scheme
Vouchers at Christmas, your work anniversary, and your birthday
Paid DBS
…and more!

Who You Are:

Versatile and detail-oriented with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communicator with a customer-first approach
Confident and experienced in your administration skills and use of IT systems
Passionate about people and strives to ensure every individual feels valued

Closing date:

The closing date for this vacancy is 2nd October 2025. Applications will be considered as and when received.

If your application is successful, any offer of employment will be subject to:

A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and subsequent registration for the DBS Update Service
2 acceptable / satisfactory references
Evidence of eligibility / right to work in the UK

Proud member of the Disability Confident employer scheme
