Summary
Core Education is recruiting for an experienced and motivated SENCO to join a specialist SEN provision based in Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Role Overview of SENCO role:
• Position: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
• Location: Cheshire
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm (term time only)
• Timetable: Some teaching & full SENCO duties
• Type: Temporary to Permanent (for the right candidate)
• Daily Rate: £200 – £300 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Start date: ASAP
The Ideal Candidate for the SENCO role will:
• Hold a recognised SENCO qualification (preferred)
• Have proven experience as a SENCO, ideally in a specialist or alternative provision
• Be confident working with Primary aged children in Key stage 2
• Have strong knowledge of SEMH and strategies to support learners effectively
• Be experienced in managing EHCPs, coordinating support plans, and liaising with multi-agency teams
• Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for inclusive education
