A well-regarded secondary school in Coventry is offering a fantastic opportunity for a maths graduate to join as an Unqualified Graduate Maths Teacher this September.

This is a full-time role during term-time only, offering structured school-based training, daily classroom exposure, and ongoing support — ideal for those looking to explore teaching before committing to a PGCE, Schools Direct, or other QTS routes.

The Opportunity

This role is perfect for someone who:

  • Has recently completed a maths-related degree (2:1 or above preferred)


  • Is considering a long-term career in teaching


  • Wants to gain meaningful school experience before undertaking formal training


  • Is confident, enthusiastic, and eager to learn in a fast-paced school environment


    What You’ll Be Doing

    As a Graduate Maths Support, you will:

    • Work closely with teachers to support maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4


    • Provide small group and one-to-one intervention support


    • Help plan resources and assist with classroom activities


    • Gain confidence by gradually leading parts of lessons


    • Be mentored by experienced teaching staff throughout the year


    • Play a key role in supporting students to achieve their academic potential

        Requirements
        • A degree in Maths or a related subject (2:1 or above is advantageous)

        • Previous experience working with young people is helpful, but not essential
