About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Repairs Surveyor to join our Property Services team, overseeing the delivery of high-quality day-to-day repairs, void works, and disrepair cases across our social housing stock.

You will be responsible for diagnosing repairs, specifying works, and ensuring all contractors and operatives deliver a responsive, cost-effective, and customer-focused service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspections of occupied and vacant properties to diagnose repairs and specify works

  • Raise and manage repair orders, ensuring completion to agreed standards and timelines

  • Oversee contractor and in-house operative performance on site

  • Manage disrepair cases, including reporting, documentation, and liaison with legal teams

  • Monitor compliance with health and safety, contractual obligations, and relevant legislation

  • Prepare technical reports, schedules of work, and cost estimates

  • Work closely with residents to ensure excellent customer satisfaction

  • Support delivery of KPIs including first-time fix rate, satisfaction scores, and repairs turnaround

About You
  • Proven experience as a surveyor in a social housing or repairs/maintenance environment

  • Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of building construction, materials, and repairs

  • Excellent understanding of housing disrepair, damp and mould, and void standards

  • Familiar with SORs NHF codes, and housing legislation

  • Confident communicator with both residents and contractors

  • IT literate (ideally with knowledge of housing/property systems

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
