Key Responsibilities:
Act as a technical authority within the service with recognised depth of expertise.
Assess and appropriately manage complex risks within children’s social care.
Drive practice improvement by mentoring and developing others.
Lead on process mapping, procedure specification, and strategy development.
Manage the most complex cases to maintain credibility and hands-on expertise.
Align practice with Assistant Team Manager and Principal Social Worker roles where appropriate.
Essential Requirements:
Degree/Masters in Social Work and current SWE registration.
Substantial post-qualification experience, including complex casework.
Proven ability to assess and manage risk within children’s social care.
Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring or developing others.
Knowledge of UK legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice frameworks.
Right to work in the UK.
