Summary

Adferiad Recovery delivers a flexible and coordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions and related issues. Vulnerable people facing complex life challenges need consistent and seamless support to ensure they remain engaged with vital health and wellbeing services – and to prevent them becoming disenfranchised and isolated.

Hours: 30 hours per week

Salary: £25,809.30 per annum pro rata

Based at: Bridgend

Role Purpose: Bridgend Core and Cluster Supported Accommodation has been developed in partnership with Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. Adferiad delivers a recovery model of housing support which includes both shared accommodation and floating support to individuals living independently. Staff will support individuals who experience a serious mental illness and who will need a medium level of support to help with their recovery. The service is staffed 7 days a week, including unsocial hours.

The aim of the Service Manager, Senior and staff team will be to encourage and enable clients to reach a greater level of independence over a reasonable period of time, and then to facilitate their move

to more independent living in the community.

The support in Adferiad projects focus on an individuals strengths enabling them to feel safe and secure with the long-term aim of them living independently in their own home.

Staff are to work with service users in areas such as employment, training and education, debt management and daily living skills to promote wellbeing, a healthy lifestyle and independence to live in their community.
