Summary
Educato are working on behalf of a primary school in the North Manchester area who are looking recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who will be joining in the early years. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be expected to work with the pupil for the full academic year and potentially move up through the school. This is attached to the funding of the child and will go onto a school based contract after a successful probation period. The incoming SEN Teaching assistant will be expected to be ready to work in September 2025 on a full time basis
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a key player in delivering high-quality support to a child in Early Years in a primary school in North Manchester. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to:
- Support pupils with SEN
- Experience within a Primary or SEN school
- Experience of working within early years
- Assist with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
- Help develop communication, social, and emotional skills
- Contribute to detailed observations, assessments, and progress tracking
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
What We're Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
- An understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- A genuine passion for SEN and understanding of different learning needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
