Summary


We are pleased to offer admin support volunteer opportunities within the Talking Therapies teams in Scunthorpe, Rotherham and Doncaster. Please state at which location you would like to be based when you apply.

Talking Therapies offers free, confidential support for people struggling with common mental health conditions such as stress, depression, anxiety, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The service provides psychological treatments for anyone over 18 who is experiencing symptoms of common mental health problems. Alongside clinical treatment, the service also has an employment support team, who can assist patients with any work-related issues they may be having and can help patients to stay in, return to or find work.

We are looking for empathic and motivated volunteers to support the admin functions of the teams, including telephoning clients to remind them of appointments and supporting central administration functions and departments.

Volunteer duties will include:
• Greeting visitors to the department / clinic and providing refreshments
• Responding to enquiries in a polite manner and ensuring an appropriate response is initiated Reception duties
• Answering telephones
• Contacting patients to remind them of their appointments
• Delivering and collecting documents around the site
• Collation of patient packs/information
• Ad-hoc administration duties required to support admin function
