Job Description
We are urgently seeking a skilled and experienced 360 Excavator Operator for a 2-month project at a substation in Norwich. The successful candidate must hold a valid National Grid Persons (NGP) Ticket and have proven experience working on similar utility or substation sites.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable operator to join an essential project with an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate a 360-degree excavator safely and efficiently on a live substation site.
· Perform precise digging, trenching, and grading work as per project specifications.
· Work closely with and under the direction of the site foreman and ground workers.
· Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on the machine.
· Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental protocols, particularly National Grid safety procedures.
· Maintain a clean and organised worksite.
Essential Requirements
· Valid CPCS or NPORS Card for 360 Excavator (360° above 10 tonnes).
· Valid National Grid Persons (NGP) Ticket is essential. Applications without this will not be considered.
· Proven experience as a 360 Excavator Operator, preferably on utility or substation projects.
· A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including digging near live services.
· Ability to read and interpret site plans and drawings.
· Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
Rate & Payment
· Day Rate: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
· Payment: CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) is accepted and can be arranged.
