Your new company
You will be joining a well-established, Lancashire-based SME contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the education and healthcare sectors. With a growing pipeline of both new build and refurbishment schemes, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a range of projects, typically valued between £500k and £5m. You will work closely with the project delivery team, managing subcontractor packages, valuations, variations, and final accounts. You'll be involved from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Background in main contracting, ideally with exposure to education and/or NHS projects
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
