The Role
Are you looking for a challenging role where you can make a difference?
As a Welfare Rights Officer working independently in a small and busy team, you will deliver comprehensive and specialist benefits advice to residents across Bolton. The main focus of your work will be managing an individual caseload, representing customers in person at first tier tribunals and taking appropriate cases to the Upper Tribunal. You will help to support customers to maximise their income, including advocating for them at tribunals.
About You
The successful candidate will have detailed knowledge of social security legislation and the appeals process and be able to confidently represent and advocate for clients at appeal hearings.
You will be able to work under pressure, juggling demands and priorities to meet regular deadlines. You will have excellent casework skills, keeping customers informed and records up to date, and will be confident and competent in using IT applications to support your casework activity.
