Summary
As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Managing the SMEO Issue Centre and Bond Bay: Ensuring the efficient operation of these facilities using the relevant IT systems.
Tool Control and Calibration: Maintaining Issue Centre Tool Control in accordance with relevant documentation and ensuring Test Measuring Equipment (TME) within SMEO is kept up to date for calibration.
Stock Management: Keeping inflammable stores and Ready Use Lockers fully stocked and up to date.
Ordering and Delivery Coordination: Procuring stores for ship equipment and confirming delivery timelines, aiming to meet shorter timescales wherever possible.
Housekeeping and Waste Management: Cleaning the Issue Centre and performing Total Waste Management duties.
Auditing and Compliance: Conducting occasional audits of section practices to ensure compliance with regulations.
Driving and Logistics: Supporting the establishment with driving and logistical tasks.
This list is not exhaustive, and additional tasks may be required in line with the responsibilities of the role and the grade identified.
Training and Support:
The successful candidate will initially undergo a period of on-the-job training, with full support provided. During this time, you will become familiar with the systems, procedures, and specific aspects of the role, building your competence and confidence in this unique environment.
