Summary
To provide leadership to the site TV team to ensure that the service is delivered effectively and within budget. In line with trust policies provide day to day line management of the site Tissue Viability team, including appraisals, monitoring of attendance, sickness, mandatory training and professional registration of team members. To promote clear, concise and specific documentation in relation to tissue viability issues in order for positive outcomes and purposes of audit. To review and respond to clinical incident reports of pressure ulcers and attend site pressure ulcer meetings. To contribute and represent the site at corporate meetings related to service. To review and filter electronic referrals for Tissue Viability services , responding within an agreed framework and delegation of referrals to self and other team members including referrals from the Broadgreen site. Support the role of the site Tissue Viability Assistant Practitioner. To undertake duties as delegated by and work collaboratively with Tissue Viability Matron to deliver the Corporate Tissue Viability agenda including contributing to setting standards, policy and service development and management of resources. To lead, coordinate and participate in site resource projects and awareness campaigns e.g MASD awareness and stop the pressure days. To participate in the Tissue Viability training and education plan as appropriate for trust staff at all levels. Where the post holder has particular expertise, act as adviser/resource person to other staff across all sites. This list is a progressing role and may develop to include other responsibilities in respond to service and site needs .
