Our Client is looking for a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) Service Coordinator/Administrator to join their Adult Social Care team. This role will provide comprehensive administrative support to the DFG Home Adaptations Service, ensuring residents can live safely and independently in their homes. You be someone with strong organisational and interpersonal skills, who can work flexibly and manage competing priorities. You should be confident in dealing with the public, able to resolve queries effectively, and committed to providing a high-quality, person-centred service.
You will be the first point of contact for residents, carers, and partners, providing a person-centred service while working within local and national frameworks, policies, and procedures. The role also involves managing DFG referrals, supporting residents with applications, liaising with contractors and colleagues, and carrying out essential administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:



Act as the first point of contact for residents, staff, and external partners regarding DFG enquiries.


Provide administrative support including data entry, case management, correspondence, minute taking, and financial processing.


Manage all incoming DFG referrals and ensure accurate records are maintained.


Carry out home visits, where appropriate, to support residents with administrative tasks.


Liaise with contractors, Housing, Health, and Adult Social Care colleagues to ensure smooth delivery of adaptations.


Support the monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through customer feedback.


Promote good practice and collaborative working across services.


Essential Skills and Experience:



Knowledge and experience of a wide range of administrative work.


Excellent organisational and communication skills.


Experience using and maintaining IT and case management systems.


Ability to prioritise workload, work independently, and handle confidential information.


Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with residents, carers, and partners.


Qualifications/Requirements:



English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above.


A current Enhanced DBS (EDBS) is required for this role.
