We are seeking to appoint a reliable and adaptable Caretaker to join our site team on a permanent basis. This is an important role in ensuring our school is safe, secure and well maintained and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy secondary school.
About the Role
The Caretaker will play a key role in maintaining our site to a high standard, carrying out general caretaking and handyperson duties, and ensuring the security of the school buildings and grounds.
Hours of Work
12.00noon 8.00pm during term time
7.00am 3.00pm during school holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Unlocking and locking the site and ensuring overall site security.
- Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance including handyperson tasks.
- Assisting with deliveries, furniture moves and other practical site tasks.
- Supporting the site team to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Dependable, flexible and takes prides in their work.
- Practical and confident in carrying out basic repairs and general maintenance.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
- Experience in a school or similar setting is desirable, although not essential
- Aware of Health & Safety requirements (training will be provided)
