Principal Teacher

35 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

We are looking for a positive, energetic and enthusiastic candidate to help lead teaching and learning at Burray Primary School.

The successful candidate will assist the Head Teacher in providing advice, support and guidance across the school. They will also have a key role in strategic school development, in line with our school improvement plan.

The person appointed will be the main point of contact in the Head Teacher’s absence.

You must be registered, or in the process of registering, with the General Teaching Council for Scotland.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.

The salary is based on Point 1 of the Principal Teacher Spine of the SNCT Salary Tables plus Distant Islands Allowance. We offer a generous relocation package.
