Summary
Job title: Personal Assistant
Hours: 4 hours a week in term time, 8 hours a week in non-term time.
Shifts: Weekends and School holidays; Occasional weekdays (can be discussed).
Hourly rate: £15 per hour
Outline of role: We are looking for a PA to help support our son in all daily activities
which will enable him to achieve maximum personal benefit from his everyday life. He is a
happy Eight-year-old boy who has Left-Hemiplegia (Cerebral Palsy), Autism and other medical
conditions.
He is a sociable little boy who always has a smile on his face. He loves being
outdoors, jumping in trampoline, watching his iPad and water-based activities. He also enjoys
reading books and likes to make words out of his magnetic alphabets.
General tasks - on a regular basis:
1. Help with getting in and out of the car seat, highchair and bed.
2. Help with dressing.
3. Help with general personal cleaning (showering if required).
4. Help with feeding pre-cooked meals.
Social activities:
Assisting him to participate in various social activities, as per the parents instructions, this
may include going to clubs, swimming, meeting friends, trips to the park, soft plays etc.
This is not a list of everything as we may ask you to do similar sorts of tasks which are not listed
above. Provided that our requests are reasonable, we expect the PA to follow our instructions.
Personal Specification:
First Aid Can be discussed (beneficial
to have training)
EpiPen Training will be provided
Non-Smoker (incl. vape) Preferred
